 Robert Watzlavick <rocket@watzlavick.com> has also developed and built a device using a similar fundamental concept, but (like Andreas) chose to simplify the entire construction by minimizing the need to machine threads and complicated housings. Because of reduced area constraints (device was designed for a 6” diameter rocket), Robert chose to mount the geared motor inline (no parallel gearing required)  simplifying the housing significantly.
